Bernard Behrens was born in London, England on September 28, 1926 and spent a solid 30 years on the stage and then after an 11 year
break from the stage (while doing TV and film work) he returned. After building
a career in the U.S.A., he moved to Canada in the mid-1980s. He was ‘Dr
Placebo’ in John Greyon's “Zero Patience” (1993). Behrens has won two Gemini
Awards, for “Saying Goodbye” (1990) and “Coming of Age” (1993). He was
nominated for “Turning to Stone” (1985) and the series “This Is Wonderland” (2004).
Bernard is affectionately known as ‘Bunny’ Behrens. Star Wars fans may know him
as the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the radio adaptations of the original trilogy
of the hit films. Behrens appeared in on Euro-western film: “Another
Man, Antother Chance” as Springfield. The 1977 film starred James Caan and Geneviève
Bujold. He also appeared in the Euro-western TV series 'Bordertown' in 1990.
