Ennio Morricone is basically the king of soundtracks,
with over 400 to his name including The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a
Time in the West, The Thing, and more recently The Hateful Eight. Here we have
Morricone’s score for Sergio Corbucci’s Zapata western Il Mercenario from 1968.
First ever reissue of the vinyl on Monte Stella.
An original soundtrack from the movie Il Mercenario (A
Professional Gun), a Western movie from 1968 starring Franco Nero and Jack
Palance. The music was fully composed and orchestrated by Ennio Morricone and
directed by legendary Bruno Nicolai.
This is the first time ever reissue on vinyl and contains
the legendary track “L’Arena”, one of the all-time favorites by Ennio
Morricone. This track and “Il Mercenario part 1” were used by Quentin Tarantino
in “Kill Bill Vol 2” and “Inglorious Basterds”.
