MADRID (AP) – American movie producer Samuel Bronston, struggling to make a comeback from financial difficulties, was hit by a fire that destroyed part of his bib Madrid studio last night.
Sets were being prepared in the studio for resumption of filming in September. No estimate of the damage was available.
Bronston’s company filed a bankruptcy petition in the United States in June 1964.
His comeback is being supported by the Spanish government. The company did most of its filming in Spain.
