This British television series consisted of 5 episodes adapted from the story by E.S. Ellis, set in Ohio in the 19th Century about Silas Sutherland and his family who settle and build a log cabin in the wilderness and have to contend with both hardship and Indian attacks. These episodes were broadcast live and are now lost. The BBC screened another production of the play in 1959.
