Gunter Berger was born in Boppard, Rhineland-Palantine,
Germany on August 25, 1943. He attended theatrical training from 1966 to 1969
and graduated from the Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, at the Mozarteum in
Salzburg. In 1969, right after his training, he moved to the Schiller Theater
in Berlin to appear on stage in mostly classical roles. His engagement at the
Schiller Theater was for eight years before moving to the Berlin Schaubühne in
1977. He was also appearing on stage at the same time in Berlin and on
television. Since then he has been seen both on stage, film and television. He
appeared on screen as a townsman in his only Euro-western “Fatal Error” in
1969. He is still active and was seen in the role of Jersey in the 2012 German
TV series ‘Kreuzfahrt ins Glück’.
