RIP Patty Shepard

American actress Patty Sheppard, who''s been living in Spain since the early 60s where she appeared in some fifty films, died on January 3, 2013 as a result of a heart attack in Madrid, Spain.

Born in Greenville, South Carolina on October 1, 1945 the daughter of an Air Force officer. Patty has been married to Spanish actor Manuel de Blas, who co-starred with her in several films.

Patty Sheppard came to Spain in 1963 when her father was stationed in Torrejon de Ardoz and stayed in Madrid. In the sixties she worked as a model and became popular on TV.

Her film career began with a small uncredited role in "La ciudad no es para mí " with Paco Martinez Soria, and appeared in some fifty films until his retirement in the late 80s. She also appeared in six of Euro westerns, horror films and low budget giallos, sharing the stage on several occasions with the Spanish horror icon Paul Naschy. Patty’s Euro-westerns include: “Twenty Paces to Death” (1970), “The Legend of Frenchie King” (1971), “The Man Called Noon” (1973) an “The Stranger and the Gunfighter” (1974).
