50th Anniversary of “Price of Death”

Today marks thee 50th Anniversary of “Price of Death’ co-directed by Vincent Thomas and Lorenzo Gicca Palli and starring Gianni Garko and Klaus Kinski. It tells the story of Chester Conway (Kinski), a crook accused of killing some people during a robbery in the saloon, was sentenced to death. The owner of the saloon, is not convinced of the guilt of Chester, and hires a lawyer named Plummer (Franco Abbina) to collect evidence to exonerate Conway. Plummer, in turn, turns to Silver (Gianni Garko), a retired gunman and offers a large sum to help him. Together they begin the investigation. With cunning, Silver induces the real culprit to betray himself and exonerates Conway, but in the meantime, it discovered that at the time of the robbery in the saloon there was also the killing of a young Mexican. Silver decides to deal with Conway and punish him for the heinous crime he did commit.
