50th Anniversary of the premier of “Drummer of Vengeance”

Today marks the 50^th Anniversary of “Drummer of Vengeance”. Directed by Robert Paget (Mario Gariazzo) and starring Ty Hardin, Rosanno Brazzi, Craig Hill and Gordon Mitchell. The film tells the tale of a Civil War soldier (Ty Hardin) who switched sides and finds his Indian wife and son murdered when he returns home. The stranger, a little toy drummer, and his six-shooter go on a trail of vengeance against the six murderers. Using the disguise of a bible spouting preacher, he roams the town finding clues and links to the killers. When he locates a killer, he winds up the toy drummer and then faces them in a gundown. He’s aided by a sympathetic sheriff (Rossano Brazzi) who it ends up was the leader of the gang.
