Franca Bettoia was born on May 14, 1936 in Rome, Italy. Her film career started with a small role in 1955's "Un palco all’Opera" directed by Siro Marcellini. She found fame in the television series "La pisana" (1960) and in the two Sandokan films "Sandokan Against the Leopard of Sarawak" and "Sandokan to the Rescue" both in 1964. In 1972 she married actor Ugo Tognazzi and they had two children actor Gianmarco [1967] and director, screenwriter Maria Sole [1971]. In 1974 she appeared with Ugo in her only Euro-western "Don’t Touch the White Woman! As Rayon de Lune. Her last film appearance was as a character who was the mother of her son Gianmarco in "Testa rasate" directed by Claudio Fragasso. Today we celebrate Franca Bettoia’s 75th birthday.
