Series One Western Bandits – Inspector Skelton – Red Eagle was first published in 1946

The first series in a golden book format alternates three characters, BANDITs of the WEST by Leonello Martini (Lionel Martin) and Nunzio Catania in the odd numbers up to #11, a western series with RAZZO BILL an agent of a special police force; RED EAGLE by Leonello Martini (Lionel Martin) and Franco Donatelli, in the odd numbers from #13 to #23, a mysterious Indian who defends the white settlers from the evil Black Eagle; INSPECTOR SKELTON by Andrea Lavezzolo and Ottorino Schipani and Luciano Dinelli (Ludi), in even numbers plus #25 and #27 were police adventures of an inspector in an unlikely New York. The first installments do not carry the date.

Series One began with #1 on September 7, 1946 and ended with #27 on March 8, 1947)
