Andrei Codarcea was born in Miercurea Cius, Romania on August 5, 1925. He was a theater and film actor. He graduated from the Institute of Theater and Cinematography in Bucharest and went on to appear often at the Teatrul Mic in Bucharest. During his acting career Andrei appeared in 23 films from “In Our Village” in 1951 to his last film in 1986 “Batalia din umbra”.
He was married to Ileana Codarcea [1929-2004] a fine arts graduate. After retiring from films in 1986 he and his wife emigrated to America in 1990. He settled and died in Middletown, Connecticut on January 16, 2003.
