Jelena
Jovanovic was born on November 3, 1933 in Belgrade, Serbia. Married to
director, screenwriter Stevo Zigon [1926-2005] she took his name as her stage
name and became Jelena Zigon to film watchers. Beginning with “Opstinsko dete”
(1953) she has appeared in over 60 films and television appearances in
including one Euro-western “Flaming Frontier” (1965) playing the role of Delia.
Jelena is the mother of actress Ivana Zigon [1968- ]. Today we celebrate Jelena Zigon’s 80th birthday.
