ALBI MIGNON (Ric-Rac - Comic Series - Cow Boy vs. Sheriff
- Captain Molinar)
This series of comic books were published weekly
beginning in 1948 with issue #1 on October 7, 1948 ending at issue #47 on
December 20, 1950. They were in black and white with various number of pages
and with color covers
Publishing House was E.P.I. Italian Periodical Editions,
Editrice Panorama in Florence, Italy
The publishing director was Ernesto Varoli
There were a total of 47 issues divided into four series
that sometimes came out at the same time.
Series I #1 (7 October 7, 1948) - #18 (1950)
Series II n. #1 (1949) - #6 (July 23, 1949)
Series III #1 (May 7, 1949) - #20 (January 28, 1950)
Series IV #1 (1950) #3 (December 20 1950)
Series I: RIC-RAC (RR) (32 pages). The adventures of a
couple of young kids divided into two parts. The first, with the subtitle
Allegri Bambini (#1-12), and the second with Giovani Atomici (#13-18) where the
protagonists have become teenagers. Texts by Lascial (#1-12), drawings by
Angelo Platania (Gelo) (#1-12). The first numbers came out as a supplement to
"Popular Enigmatics".
Series II: COMICA SERIES (36 pages). Various books in
part written and designed with grotesque style by G. Lani.
Series III: COWBOY AGAINST THE SHERIFF (CF) (36 pages).
Elongated strip. In each book two stories of the cowboy boy Bill Donovan dealing
with Sheriff Porter. Texts by Kant, drawings by Angelo Platania.
Series IV: CAPITAN MOLINAR'S GESTURE (CM) (12 pages).
Reprint of TOM DRAKE in the version of Kant and G. Castellani.
