A famous Hollywood director with his film crew arrives in a borderland village of the Spanish hinterland to film a low-budget western, which changes the daily routine of the area´s inhabitants, particularly that of a group of young boys. The film shoot takes place in the late 1960s and also represents to Sonia the return to her native land, after many years away, she goes back to her village to play the leading role in the film in the midst of a landscape which brings back unresolved issues from her past.
