Dyanik Zurakowska was born in Elizabethville, Belgian Congo on March 22, 1947. She developed a career as an actress in the Spanish cinema during the 1960s and 1970s. Her debut was in the film “La llamada” (1965). Until the end of the next decade she appeared in more than 40 titles of different genres: comedy, horror, espionage and Spaghetti westerns. Dyanik appeared in nine Euro-westerns from “Navajo Joe” (1966) to “$20,000 for Every Corpse”. Usually playing love interests, rancher’s daughters or young wives she appeared under several spellings of her name Dianik Zurakowska, Djanik Zurakowska, Danik Zurakowska, Diannyk Zurakowska, Dianik, Dianick and Barbara Carson. Her last screen appearance was in the French series “Les Enquêtes du commisaire Maigret” (1977). Rumor has it that she remained in France to further her film career or settled down but her actual whereabouts are unknown. Today we celebrate Dyanik Zurakowska’s 65th birthday.
