It’s the Wild West 120 years ago, fighting side by side for peace in the territory is the brave Winnetou, chief of the Apaches and his blood brother Old Shatterhand, an engineer from Germany. Together, they thwart the sinister plans of Santer and Mattho-Shi, the two villains trying to destroy the peace between Indians and whites, to gain power and gold for themselves.

The series is based on the figures from the Karl May's novels.

The title song "Ride The Hurricane’s Eye" is derived from the Swedish band Rednex (Cotton-Eye Joe).

Premiered on German television on April 24, 2002 and was shown daily until May 28, 2002
