Mary Roos was born Marianne Rosemarie Schwab on January 9, 1949 in Bingen,
Rhine Germany. The sister of singer Tina York [1954- ], she is
known for her appearance at the “ZDF Hitparade” (1969), “The Eurovision Song
Contest” (1972) and “The Eurovision Song Contest” (1984). Mary became one of
Germany`s most successful singers in the 1970s. She was one of the few European
artists appearing on ‘The Muppet Show’ (1976). Mary appeared in only one Euro-western
“A Fistful of Songs” (1966) as one of the entertainers singing “Jnge Liebe”.
Nowadays she lives in Hamburg and will celebrate her 65th birthday today
She never was an actress; in all the films she's performing a song.
