The
screen shot above is from 1970’s “Adios Sabata” starring Yul Brynner and Dean
reed. The location is quite away back in the mountains called Balsicas de
Alfaro, Rioja, Andalusia, Spain. How they transported filming equipment is
beyond me as when I visited the area in 2003 there were no roads and we had to
ride off road motorcycles back about halfway and hike the rest of the way in.
The location has been seen in several Spaghetti westerns including “I Want Him
Dead”.
