Audra Blaser was born in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on November 30th in 1981. Blaser began acting at an early age in her hometown and received
her B.F.A. from Carnegie Mellon University’s prestigious School of Drama, and
after graduating, she lived in New York City for many years, working
continuously in film, television, theater and commercials. Her film credits include her only Euro-western
to date “Bandidas” (2004), “Suburban Girl” (2007), and “A Novel Romance” (2011),
to name a few. Audra’s television work
includes appearances on ‘The Book of Daniel’ and ‘3 Lbs.’ (both in 2006), ‘Rules
of Engagement’ (2007), ‘Law & Order’, ‘Sherri’ (both in 2009) and as the
lead in the TBS series ‘Lovebites’ (2007), produced by Paul Reiser. Commercially, Audra has acted in national
campaigns for Carnival Cruise Lines, Sunsilk, Miller Light, and Samsung. In addition to her on-camera work, Audra has
had the honor of performing in theater productions across the country (Los
Angeles, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, and West Virginia), as well as
Off-Broadway at the Public Theater in New York.
She is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA. Audra also has an M.A. in Theatre from the
University of Colorado at Boulder, where she is an instructor of acting and
recently directed “True West” for the Department of Theatre & Dance. This coming fall, she will be teaching for
Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s School of Theatre. Audra moved to Boulder in 2010 with her
partner, Dr. Vijay Mittal, a professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at the
University of Colorado at Boulder.
