Upon his return to Italy Levi was in his early career an unsuccessful novelist he then became a radio playwright writing such teleplays as Die dunkle Seite des Mondes, 1951; Notwehr Microfono d'Argento, 1952; Verabredung um 7 Uhr, 1953; Station im Nebel, 1956 and a playwright known for Anna und das Telefon, 1951; Der Weg ist dunkel, 1953; Der Fall Pinedus; 1955
Levi was a mystery writer in appearance and wrote for over a period of about 30 years - from the beginning of the 1950s to the 1980s. He wrote screenplays for about 25 films; including comedies and Giallos. As Paul Levy he co-wrote his only Euro-western screenplay “Up the MacGregors” (1967) with Enzo Dell'Aquila, Fernando Di Leo, Franco Giraldi and José María Rodríguez Méndez.
Levi died in Rome, Italy sometime in 1989.
