Hi Tom, Scherpschutter here. Are you sure Rik van Nutter was born in Amsterdam? Wikipedia says Pomona, California. Geneastar, a Dutch-language site also mentions California. However, the word 'van' before Nutter (meaning 'of') would suggest a Dutch origin (cfr: Rembrandt van Rijn, Vincent van Gogh, etc.). It's not very important, but it made me curious as a Dutchman.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Scherpschutter. Correct you are. This post was made before I found out he was born, as you say in Pomona, California. Sometimes I can't change old posts because the system does not allow me to go back that far but in this case, I was able to rectify the error. Thanks for pointing it out. Best, Tom
