Jürgen Haase was the first Winnetou actor on the Felsenbühne in the GDR. He celebrates his birthday as Old Shatterhand.
Jürgen Haase lives in Klipphausen. He made his debut in
1984 as Winnetou in the "Schatz im Silbersee" on the Felsenbühne
Rathen.
Spa Rathen. At the anniversary spectacle in honor of
Winnetou on Pentecost weekend, he lit the peace pipe: Jürgen Haase. The actor
has been writing Karl May history for over 30 years. On Wednesday celebrates
his 60th birthday. As the first Winnetou after a long break in GDR times newly
started Karl May series he appeared in the 1984 "Treasure in Silver
Lake" his debut in a Wild West adventure on the rock stage. "It was
crazy. The audience raged. They were so happy to finally see another Karl May
play on stage. "
For a total of 30 years he has beaten himself around on
the rock stage. First as Winnetou, later as Old Shatterhand. A job that gets
hisses. This season he lets his fists fly for the last time as "Old
Butterfly". "I'm not getting any younger," he says. In the
future he wants to go home after the performances without pain, he says and
laughs.
