Raffaele Di Mario was born in Collepardo, Frosinone, Italy on June 11, 1927. He was an Italiancharacter actor who appeared in 30 films and TV appearances between 1966 and 1995. His rough and tough look made him perfectly suited for playing henchmen, thugs and gang members.
Raffaele was sometimes credited as Mario Ralf and Mario Ralph to disguise his ethnicity and make him appear to be an American actor.
Among his crime and drama roles were appearances in six Spaghetti westerns. Probably his biggest role in a western was as Castro/Karson in 1966’s “Ramon the Mexican” starring Robert Hundar.
Raffaele died on June 1, 2008, in Rome, Lazio, Italy ten days before turning 81.
