Countdown for the province to improve its cultural offer in terms of exhibition spaces, specifically linked to the world of cinema and paleontology. The City Council of Covarrubias has put out to tender the first phase of the work thanks to which the Santo Tomás box, a disused building next to the church of the same name, will become the Carlo Simi-Sad Hill Museum Interpretation Center of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. For its part, the Salas de los Infantes has also published the offer to complete the execution of the expansion of its Dinosaur Museum.

The Rachel Consistory has put its project out to tender for 144,623 euros, the same amount it received from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Junta to create this space dedicated to the Italian set designer and his work. With this amount it will focus on the rehabilitation of the property, whose envelope they have to recover.

Regarding the structure of the same, it is stable, but it will have to be reinforced, since its future use of public concurrence requires it. The project to be executed also includes its thermal conditioning, the insulation of the enclosures, the roof, the floor and the change of the carpentry. Companies interested in opting for the work can submit their bids until August 13. The execution period is 5 months.

Once these works are completed, the building would be ready to host new phases, for which they would have to seek financing. The second would contemplate its museumization, with the creation of the exhibition itself, the information panels, television screens, projectors, showcases or furniture, in this case, the City Council will close with Simi's daughter an agreement for the transfer of the extensive material she keeps about her father and his designs for many western films.

The third would include the adaptation of the exterior spaces of the museum, both in the front garden and in the so-called Garden of God, on the other side. Both would involve an investment of more than 100,000 euros.

For its part, the City Council of Salas dedicates the largest investment of its budget this year to complete the expansion of its Dinosaur Museum, to which it will allocate 200,000 euros. In this case, the deadline for submitting bids expires on August 8 and the estimated time for their execution is two months.

Specifically, the work is the third offprint to provide more space to this facility, and which will involve gaining meters as a warehouse and as a workshop-laboratory, in addition to adapting the outdoor spaces. According to the report, in a first action the foundations and structure were made; in a second one the roof was executed; and in this third and last one, the building will be finished off with the completion of the façades, the carpentry, the installations, the interior finishes, as well as the equipment.
