RIP Franco Daddi

 


Italian stunt coordinator, stuntman, actor Franco Daddi died in Rome on August 11th. He was 89. Born Virgilio Daddi in Rome on March 28, 1935, as Virgilio Daddi he was the brother of actor Vladimiro Daddi who passed away a few years ago. As Franco Daddi he appeared in over 90 films and TV series doing stunt work and over 40 films and TV as an actor. Daddi was well- respected in the field of stunt work and was also a master swordsman. Franco usually appeared as henchmen, saloon patrons, gunman and soldiers. His career began in 1961 doing stunts in “Goliath Against the Giants” and ended in 2006 while he was still performing stunts in “The Borgia”. He appeared in 32 Spaghetti westerns.
