Edwin J. Collins was born in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England
in 1875. He was an actor for Cricks & Martin Studios from 1910-1911 but was
became better known as a director of more than 50 short films between 1912 and
1923 for the same company and then for H.B. Parkinson.
Collins died in Richmond, Surrey, England
on January 14, 1937. He was 62 years-old.
