Spaghetti Western Trivia ~ Minnesota Clay / Providenza

In the film “Here We Go Again, Eh Providence”, when Providence is looking through his file of wanted posters he pulls one out for Minnesota Clay and says "Um... Minnesota Clay... I’ve taken care of him..." Minnesota Clay was of course directed by Sergio Corbucci and Milian had appeared in two previous Corbucci westerns Companeros in 1970 and Sonny and Jed in 1972. When “Companeros” was released here in the states on some double bills it was teamed up with... “Minnesota Clay”! [courtesy Mike Hauss]

  1. Spaghetti Westerns were known for sometimes putting name of other Spaghetti Western characters on wanted posters as cultural references. I plan on making a Western myself called, "The Holster". It will focus on a mysterious bounty hunter who collects gun rigs off of dead outlaws that he kills. The trailer opens up with this monologue. "This holster belonged to Keoma. This one belonged to Django. This one was the property of Ringo. This one belonged to Arizona Colt. And the next one I take might be yours." Then the bounty hunter points his pistol at the camera, cocks the hammer, and pulls the trigger. In big, bold letters, the title says, "The Holster, AKA Give Up Your Guns Or Die. Soon to appear on this screen." Wish me luck.
