German theater, film and television actress Ilse Petri
died in Munich, Germany two week before her 100th birthday. Petri
made her first stage appearance at the age of 17 and went on to stardom in
theater and over 50 film appearances. She was married to photographer Joe
Niczky who died in 1986. Ilse appeared in only one Euro-western: 1938’s “Women
for Golden Hill in the role of Margaret.
