Evaristo
‘Evar’ Maran was born on March 8, 1924 in Selvazzano Dentro, Padua, Veneto,
Italy. Evar became a supporting actor during the Golden Age of the Italian
cinema. He’s probably best remembered for his appearance in “El Alamein - La linea del fuoco” (2002) directed by Enzo
Monteleone where he played the part of Fosco. And in 1961 he worked with
Roberto Rossellini in the making of the film “Viva Italia!” where he played the
part of Francesco Montanari.
Maran appeared in five Euro-westerns from “Five Giants from Texas” (1964) to “Lynching” (1968)
Maran died at the age of 67 years of age on August 5, 1991 in Padua, Veneto, Italy.
Today we remember Evaristo Maran on what would have been his 90th birthday.
