Remembering Giuseppe Vari

Giuseppe Vari was born on March 9, 1924 in Segni a suburb of Rome, Italy. Vari was an Italian film director, editor and screenwriter. He worked in the world of film from the 1950s to the 1980s directing more than 20 films. He used the pseudonyms Joseph Green, Al Pisani, Pisani Walter and Joseph Warren.
 
Euro-western fans know under his Joseph Warren moniker where he directed seven films. Among which were “Deguello” (1965) which he also wrote the screenplay for, “Django the Last Killer” (1967), “A Hole in the Forehead” (1968) and “Shoot the Living, Pray for the Dead” (1970). In 1971 he wrote and directed his last Euro-western “The Last Traitor” starring Donal O’Brien.
 
Vari died on March 26, 1992 in Rome.
 
Today we remember Giuseppe Vari on what would have been his 90th birthday.
