Brooks had O´Hara downgraded due to cowardice and desertion. Now the mayor´s fiancé arrives at the fort and right from the she start falls in love with the O’Hara. Also involved is a scout named Wells and an Indian barmaid named Wana, who after some complications also falls in love. Around all this is the threat of an Indian war, and as the lovesick major goes on the warpath, the Navajos and Apaches attack the fort resulting in a bloody massacre. After finally realizing his mistakes Major Brooks confesses he had falsely accused O’Hara back at the academy and begs forgiveness.
