Silvia Pinal Hidalgo was born on September 12, 1931 in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico. Considered the First Lady of Mexican Film she began her career in 1949 and received Ariel Awards (Mexican Academy Awards) in 1953, 1957 and 1958. One of the most famous actresses in Mexican movie history, Silvia is remembered internationally for her role in the film "Viridiana" directed by Luis Buñuel and is remembered as a living legend of the Golden Age of Mexican Film. Pinal appeared in only one Euro-western 1967's "Guns for San Sebastian" as Felicia. Today we celebrate Silvia Pinal’s 80th birthday.
