RIP Luis Marin

 

Spanish production manager, actor and voice actor Luis Marin died in Madrid, Spain on February 14, 2022. Marin was born in Madrid on January 16, 1932 as José Luis Marín Gutiérrez.. He began his career as an actor and voice dubber. In the mid-1960s he became a production and unit manager before dedicating his career as a voice actor. He’s best remembered as the Spanish voice of Barney Rubble of “The Flintstones” and as Barney and Billy in “The Simpsons.” Marin appeared as a character and supporting actor in ten Spaghetti westerns including “A Pistol for Ringo” and “The Return of Ringo”, “Django Does Not Forgive” and “The Great Treasure Hunt”.
