Little can be found about German composer Wolfgang Meyer.
Meyer’s name is usually confused with the more famous clarinetist of the same
name [1954-2019] and composer Wolfgang Meyer-Tormin [1911-1988].
Our Wolfgang Meyer was born in Germany in 1929 and worked
for the DEFA film studios in the 1960s and 1970s. He was a co-composer with Karl-Ernst
Sasse on one Euro-western “Spur des Falken” (The Falcon’s Trail) in 1967. A
classical musician he played organ and harpsichord with the Radio-Symphonie-Orchester
Berlin
