50th Anniversary of the premier of “Trinity and Sartana are Coming”

 

Today marks the 50^th anniversary of the premier of the Italian comedy western “Trinity and Sartana are Coming” directed by Mario Siciliano and starring Alberto Dell’Acqua using the alias Robert Widmark and Harry Baird. The story is about Trinity (Baird) and Sartana (Dell’Acqua) who commit a bank robbery. They are good friends and robbers, which always end with them giving away or losing all the loot. They take refuge in the small village of Quintana. There they must contend with the overbearing Barton (Stelio Candelli) who wants to take over the land of the farmers. Also against them is the Mexican bandit El Tigre (Ezio Marano). The two outlaws are able to steal two million pesos in gold, but of course, by the time of their departure they will again have empty pockets!
