On the death of Philip II, king of Navarre, the princesses Malva and Isabella, his grandchildren, wait to find out which of them will succeed him as queen.  Malva, cruel and ambitious, sensing that the chosen one will be Isabella, tries to take possession of the will to replace it with a more favorable one to her, and to this end she hires Maciste entrusting the task to get hold of the box that contains it.  For her part, Isabella, sensing the maneuvering of her treacherous cousin, hires for the same purpose Zorro.  After various events the box is passed into the hands of Maciste, who, however, understanding that he is fighting for an unjust cause, avoids giving it to Malva.  Isabella is named to the throne while Maciste sets off to new adventures, Zorro become the groom of the new queen, because he is no other than her young lover.
