Guido
Mannari was born on December 13, 1944 in Rosignano, Marittimo, Italy. Before
beginning his career as an actor, he was soccer player for the Werewolves in
Rosignano. He made his feature film debut in the Italian film “L'assoluto natural”
in 1969. One of his most important roles was as Cain Blue in the Euro-western
“Brothers Blue” in 1973. He also had a small role in 1971’s “Blindman” starring
Tony Anthony and as Carabu in 1974’s “Red Coat” starring Fabio Testi. Another
important role was as Quinto Nevio
Sutorio Macrone in the 1979 film Caligula .
Guido
died of a heart attack on July 10, 1988. He was only 43.
Today
we remember Guido Mannari on what would have been his 70th birthday.
It's a shame he died so young. Guido was just one of many who had that presence in Italian cinema. Guido Mannari truly was an icon.
