Happy 75th Birthday Alessandra Panaro

Alessandra Panaro was born December 14, 1939 in Rome, Lazio, Italy. She began her career in 1954 appearing in “Poveri ma belli” and also “Belle ma povere” (1957) and “Poveri milionari” (1958). She took part in the television program ‘The Musichiere’ beginning at the end of 1957. In both experiences she worked with Lorella De Luca, in the three films they playing best friends in love with brothers.
 
She then went on to appear in other Italian comedies of the 1950s, which were beginning to show the carefree and celebrate the joy of living after the war years. She an actress in "Lazzarella" (1957), directed by Carlo Ludovico Bragaglia, where she played the title character inspired by that of a song written by Domenico Modugno and Riccardo Pazzaglia and recorded by many singers of the fifties.
 
In 1959 she was Nora, girlfriend of “Bruno” (Mario Girotti the future Terence Hill) in the film of Raffaello Matarazzo Cerasella .
 
She worked with Toto and was directed by directors such as Dino Risi, Alessandro Blasetti and Luchino Visconti.
 
In the 1960s, she starred in the adventure, Spaghetti westerns and mythological films. Using the alias Topsy Collins she appeared in three Euro-westerns:  “Pyramid of the Sun Gods” (1964), “The Treasure of the Aztecs” and Gold Train (both 1965).
 
Widowed and retired today she lives in Geneva, Switzerland.
 
Today we celebrate Alessandra Panaro (aka Topsy Collins) on her 75th birthday.
