We continue our search for locations for “A Few Dollars
for Django”. Following the opening credits we see Regan riding into town slowly
passing a man being dragged behind a horse. He stops at the sheriff’s office,
ties up his horse, and goes inside.
The town is the same that appears in “For a Few Dollars
More” where the Man with No Name tells the men outside the sheriff’s office the
town needs a new sheriff at Colmenar Viejo a region 30 kms north of Madrid off
M-607. The town site is now part of a military helicopter base and a cow
pasture. Plenty of foundations and building materials can be found among the
many berry bushes and vegetation that cover the site.
