This week we begin a brand new film “A Pistol for Ringo” starring Montgomery Wood (Giuliano Gemma). Most of this was filmed in Almeria and several of the locations were used in many of the Euro-westerns filmed in that area.
In the opening scene of “A Pistol for Ringo” a group of gunmen are seen arriving at a water wheel where the village women are washing their clothes. This water wheel and culvert are still present and have been reconstructed as an historical location. The water wheel is in the village of El Pozo de los Frailes on the main road AL-3108 between Almeria and San Jose.
