RIP Heinz Reincke
Well known theater, film and television actor Heinz Reincke has died, the native of Kiel, Germany, died at the age of 86 years in his adopted hometown of Vienna, Austria on July 13, the Austrian news agency APA reported. Reincke suffered from lung cancer for several years now.
Reincke was a longtime member of the prestigious Burgtheater in Vienna and had lived since the 1960s in the Austrian capital. In 1970 he became an Austrian citizen.
Reincke, had his breakthrough in 1955 under director Gustaf Gruendgens at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg and played major roles in theater, and was know by broad audience as a television actor as well. For decades he appeared on such TV series as "Heintje", "Zwei Münchner in Hamburg" and ZDF seris "Der Landarzt" (A Country Doctor). Reincke appeared in over 110 films and television appearances as well as voice dubbing. He was the German voice of Alec Guinnes and James Coburn in "In Like Flint" among others. He was married to actress Erni Marngold [1927- ] from 1958-1978. Heinz appeared in one Euro-western "The Hellhounds of Alaska (1972) with Doug McClure as Captain Brandy.
