Pierluigi Conti was born on July 16, 1951 in Alexandria, Egypt. He was discovered at the age of 16 and made a few commercials. He debuted as Al Cliver in 1974's "Il Sapofrita" and had the lead role in "Ondata di piacere" directed by Ruggero Deodato. He made his only Euro-western in 1976's "Apache Woman". In 1981 he had the lead role in "Zombi 2"again directed by Lucio Fulci. Cliver retired after his final film in 1990's "Demonia" directed once again by Fulci. In 2008 he was diagnosed with throat cancer which he beat but it left him only able to speak in whispers. Today Al lives in Rome and is a furniture dealer, attends various film conventions and is available on Facebook. Today we celebrate Al Cliver’s 60th birthday.
