Happy 70th Birthday Giso Weißbach
Giso Weißbach was born on December 8, 1940 in Schlößchen, Leipzig, Germany. Giso began his acting career on the stage in Parchim, Neustrelitz and Weimar. His first film appearance was in "He Du!" directed by Rolf Römer and two years later he had the lead role in the East German TV miniseries "Das Licht der schwarzen Kerze". From there he appeared in several DEFA film productions including his two Euro-westerns, "Trini" aka "Death for Zapata" (1976) and "The Scout" (1983). Giso has continued to appear on stage, films and musicals. His last film appearance was in the TV film "Das Wunder der Liebe" in 2007. Today we celebrate the 70th birthday of Giso Weißbach.
