[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]
Rosita Ballesteros was born in Zaragoza, Spain in 1914. She became a popular actress who had roles of some importance in Hollywood films, however she developed her career with great success in the Iberian Peninsula.
In the early 1920s, together with her sister Conchita and one of her aunts, she formed the Trio Ballesteros, belonging to the Esperanza Iris Theater and Magazine Company.
In the fall of 1929, the public in Tampico had the opportunity to discover her grace and her talent during the presentation of this trio at the now-defunct Lux Theater.
Rosita appeared in two early Euro-westerns as Maria in 1930’s “El hombre malo” (The Bad Man) with Antonio Moreno and in 1931’s “Monsieur le Fox” (Men of the North) as Nedra with Gilbert Roland.
Amazingly there is no information on her later life or her sister’s or of either’s passing. They both simply disappears from history.
