RIP Marti Maraden

 

Theater, TV and film actress Marti Maraden died on Auguat 31, 2023 while visiting relatives in Sweden. She was 78. Born in El Centro, California on June 22, 1945, Marti helped break down barriers for women as an early theatre director in Canada. She appeared at the Stratford Festival before moving to New York where she began teaching and directing before returning to Canada to become what Stratford called one of the country's most respected directors of both classical and contemporary repertoire. Marti appeared as Margaret Sims in the 1990 Euro-western TV series “The Campbells”.
