Silvio Amadio was bon on August 8, 1926 in Frascati, Rome, Italy. He directed over 20 films, also writing the screenplay for most of them. In the 1970s he became active as a producer for Domizia Film and became a member of the Governing Council of ANICA. He won a Donatello Award for the film "Una Settimana come un’altra" (1978). Amadio wrote and directed only one Euro-western "Renegade Gunfighter" (1968) with Zachary Hatcher and Pier Angeli. Amadio died in Rome on May 19, 1995. One interesting detail: After leaving film biz in 1981 he studied Theology.
