Luis Barbero was born in Madrid, Spain on August 8, 1916. He first appeared as a stage actor in the 1939 play "El rey que Rabió" and became one of the most beloved character actors in Spanish Cinema. He would go on to appear in over 200 film’s and TV appearances. He is best remembered for his roles as Matias in the Spanish TV series "Médico de Familia". In 2005 he made his last appearance on the TV comedy magazine "Splunge’. Barbero appeared in two Euro-westerns "A Fistful of Knuckles" (1965) and "Al este del Oeste’ (1983). Barbero received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Spanish Actors Union in 2000. Luis passed away on August 3, 2005. Today we remember Luis Barbero on what would have been his 95th birthday.
