A mysterious gunman named Joe Logan/Shenandoah joins a gang of outlaws lead by Lupe Rojo. He's put to the test immediately by told to hunt down a member of the gang who has twelve bullets while Joe only is permitted two. Joe succeeds and is permitted to accompany the gang in their attempt to rob a wealthy rancher. Joe knows the rancher and warns him of the plot. Lupe now suspects Joe has warned the rancher and he is beaten up in hopes he will reveal his true identity. Joe tells them his real reason fro joining the gang. It seems one of the gang members killed his wife and he is there seeking revenge.
