Happy 65th Birthday Femi Benussi

Italian actress Eufemia 'Femi' Benussi was born in Rovigna, Italy on March 4, 1945. After a failed romantic relationship she moved to Rome and was discovered there by Massimo Pupillo and featured in his 1965 film “The Scarlet Executioner”. She would go on to appear in over 80 films between 1965 and 1983 and was one of the most beautiful actresses at that time in Italian films. She appeared in horror, western, comedies and erotic films during this time and sometimes was credited as Femi Martin. She had an important role in Pier Paolo Passolini's “Uccellacci e uccellini” (1966). She appeared in mostly B Euro-westerns such as “Born to Kill” (1967), “Rattler Kid” (1967), “Duel in the Eclipse” (1968), “The Beast” (1970) and “Finders Killers” (1971). Who can forget her dance in 1966's “Death in Laredo” and her appearance as the Italian mistress in “The Stranger and the Gunfighter” with Lee Van Cleef. Today we celebrate Femi Benussi's 65th birthday.
