Remembering Serge Marquand
Serge Marquand was born on March 12, 1930 in Marseilles, France. He was the brother of actor, director, Christian Marquand [1927-2000] and director Nadine Trintignant [1934- ] and the uncle of Marie Trintignant. Because of his coarse features he is well remembered for his roles in “Wanted” (1966), “Cemetery Without Crosses (1968) and “Le Specialist” (1968) among his six Euro-westerns. Serge was also a producer and assistant director. In his free time he was a race car driver and participated in the 1993 Gentleman Drivers Series driving a Ford Shelby Mustang. Marquand died of leukemia on September 4, 2004. Today we remember Serge Marquand on what would have been his 80th birthday.
